ORDINANCE NO. XXXX CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MOUNDS VIEW CITY CODE TITLE VII: TRAFFIC CODE, CHAPTER 71: PARKING RULES; SECTION 71.001 DEFINITIONS THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW ORDAINS: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Mounds View hereby amends Title VII: Traffic Code, Chapter 71: Parking Rules; Section 71.001 Definitions, of the Mounds View City Code by adding the underlined material and by deleting the material as follows: § 71.001 DEFINITIONS. TRUCK. (1) A motor vehicle with a gross weight classification of G (12,001 to 15,000 pounds) or higher, as identified on the license plate and specified in state statutes. (2) Ordinary pick-up trucks, recreational vehicles, and passenger vans customary in residential districts with such a weight classification shall not be considered a TRUCK for purposes of this chapter. SECTION 2. In accordance with Section 3.07 of the City Charter, City staff shall have the following summary printed in the official City newspaper in lieu of the complete ordinance: On , 2025, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. amending the Mounds View City Code Title VII: Traffic Code, Chapter 71: Parking Rules; Section 71.001 Definitions. A printed copy of the ordinance is available for inspection during regular business hours at Mounds View City Hall and is available on line at the City's web site located at www.moundsviewmn.org. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force 30 days from and after its passage and publication, in accordance with Section 3.09 of the City Charter.
