Assist Other Agency-New Brighton <br /> On 8/27/24 at 0019 hours Officer Aase and K9 Ace were requested by NBDPS for a K9 <br /> track for a stolen vehicle that had crashed into a pond and multiple occupants fled on <br /> foot. Officer Aase and K9 Ace arrived in the area and began a track around the pond. <br /> The suspect were currently in the water and Officer Aase and K9 Ace were unable to <br /> reach them on foot. The State Patrol Helicopter was above and assisting with keeping <br /> eyes on the suspects. The suspects were surrounded and eventually agreed to <br /> surrender. The suspect walked out to Silver Lake Road where Officer Aase and K9 Ace <br /> were stationed. All four suspects were taken into custody. <br /> TAC 21 Patrol K9 Certifications <br /> Sergeant Schultes and K9 Grizz completed their TAC-21 Patrol certification on <br /> 10/23/24. Officer Aase and K9 Ace recertified in tracking and apprehension with <br /> Minnetonka PD on 10/28/2024 through TAC-21 Red Team K9. <br /> DWI/Attempted Burglary <br /> On 11/19/24 at 2142 hours Officers were dispatched to a single vehicle crash at the <br /> 3000 block of County Road H2. Upon arrival, the driver fled on foot from the vehicle. <br /> Officers shortly after received a call about a male attempting to break into a residence <br /> down the street from the crash location. Officer Aase deployed K9 Ace and converged <br /> on the address. K9 Ace located a male standing at the back door of the residence <br /> attempting to gain access. Officer Aase gave loud verbal K9 warnings to the male. The <br /> suspect surrendered and was taken into custody. The suspect was charged with DWI. <br /> Assist Other Agency - Coon Rapids <br /> On 11/22/24 at 1838 hours, Officer Aase heard on LTAC1 that Coon Rapids PD was <br /> following a vehicle just involved in a simple robbery. Officer Aase heard CRPD behind <br /> the vehicle near Highway 65 and County Road 10. The officer was currently alone. <br /> Officer Aase got in position in case the vehicle came into Mounds View. Dispatch was <br /> updated the vehicle was heading east on 81 st Avenue in Spring Lake Park, then pulled <br /> into Hy-Vee (8155 Highway 65 NE). Officer Aase responded to assist with K9 Ace. <br /> Officer Aase arrived and a high-risk traffic stop was being performed. Officer Aase <br /> deployed K9 Ace on lead and placed him in a down. Officer Aase had K9 Ace bark and <br /> a deterrent to prevent the suspect from fleeing on foot. The suspect was taken into <br /> custody without incident. <br />
