Resolution 10052, Appointing the 2025 Chair for the Park, Recreation and <br />Forestry Commission. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause recognized Chair Gerald Arel for his willingness to serve as the <br />Chair of the Park, Recreation and Forestry Commission. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Clark. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 10052, <br />Appointing the 2025 Chair for the Park, Recreation and Forestry Commission. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />6. SPECIAL ORDER OF BUSINESS <br /> A. John Connelly – Metro North Chamber <br /> <br />John Connelly, Metro North Chamber of Commerce, thanked the Council for his time and <br />explained the vision of the Chamber which was to promote business, develop leaders and connect <br />communities. He commented on the individuals that serve on the Chamber board and discussed <br />how they serve the community. He stated the Chamber has seen incremental growth over the past <br />two years. He invited the Council to attend a Public Policy Forum at Northern Soda on Thursday, <br />February 27 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. He commented on the new initiatives that have been <br />pursued by the Chamber, which included Green to Go and a manufacturing cohort. He further <br />described the marketing initiatives that were being pursued by the Chamber at a local level and <br />thanked the City of Mounds View for their continued support. <br /> <br />Mayor Lindstrom asked if the Chamber still offered Chamber Health. Mr. Connelly reported this <br />service was available to businesses with ten or fewer employees and was a member of the <br />Chamber. He reported 25 small businesses were currently under the Chamber Health group policy. <br /> <br />7. PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />Mayor Lindstrom encouraged the public to speak with kindness and respect when addressing the <br />City Council during Public Comment. <br />
