Public <br />Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson reported the sidewalk to the east had been <br />eliminated. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause inquired if the sidewalk would be on the public works side of <br />Bronson Drive. Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson stated the sidewalk would <br />be on the north side of Bronson Drive, on the church side. <br /> <br />Council Member Clark asked if there would be a crosswalk by the parking lot. Public Works/Parks <br />and Recreation Director Peterson indicated the plans include a crosswalk from the sidewalk to the <br />entrance of the parking lot. <br /> <br />Mayor Lindstrom requested staff see if there were any grants that would apply for this project, <br />given the fact it was in a social equity zone. Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson <br />reported he would look into this. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Clark/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 10058, <br />Review the 66% Completed 2025 Street Project Plans, and Authorizing Stantec to Complete the <br />Design, and Prepare Plans and Specifications. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />G. Resolution 10059, Approving the Cost Proposal for the Granite Feature Pieces <br />for the Tribute Park. <br /> <br />Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson requested the Council approve the cost <br />proposal for the granite feature pieces for Tribute Park. He explained he reached out to a granite <br />company for cost proposals for the granite features. He indicated the granite would be imported <br />from India and would be shipped to St. Cloud. He noted a 50% downpayment would be required <br />for the granite pieces. <br /> <br />Mayor Lindstrom asked if the $65,000 was the total price for the granite features. Public <br />Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson explained this was the total cost for the granite <br />features along with the two granite benches. <br /> <br />Vince Meyer, 8380 Spring Lake Road, asked why the City was not using a local granite company <br />for the granite features. Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson explained the <br />proposed vendor was chosen because this company will provide a black onyx granite that does not <br />deteriorate over time, which was ideal for the proposed granite features. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Meehlhause.
