Resolution 5769 Approving the Agreement for Festival in the Park <br />Community Development Director Ericson asked that Item G be removed for discussion and <br />noted that a representative from Cedar Management was in attendance to discuss the matter with <br />Council. <br />Council Member Marty requested that Items 6A, E, G, and H be removed for discussion. <br />MOTION/SECOND: To Approve Consent Agenda Items 6B, C, D, and F as presented. <br />Ayes - 4 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Sonterre. To Approve Consent Agenda Item A as Presented. <br />Council Member Marty pointed out the check for moving expenses for the golf course manager <br />in the amount of $4,000. <br />Council Member Marty commented that the hotel expense for Deputy Chief Brennan in the <br />amount of $224.20 was very affordable in light of some of the past hotel bills the City has <br />received. <br />Council Member Marty pointed out a check for general legal services on the AFSCME matter for <br />$384.00 and for $4,588.14. <br />Council Member Marty indicated Check Number 108167 to Labor Relations Associates for <br />AFSCME consultant fees was in the amount of $2,985.00. <br />Council Member Marty asked what the repair fee to Short Elliot and Hendriksen was for. <br />Public Works Director Lee indicated the fee was for well number 5. <br />Council Member Stigney asked whether the St. Paul Pioneer Press subscription includes a <br />Sunday paper and how many daily papers it includes. <br />Finance Director Hansen indicated he would look into the matter and provide an answer. <br />Council Member Stigney said he would question why it would be necessary to include weekend <br />delivery if the City is getting a Sunday paper. <br />Council Member Stigney commented that he does not understand why the City continues to pay <br />two different exterminators and said he feels the City should stop paying them if they are not <br />eliminating the problem. <br />Public Works Director Lee indicated he was not certain why there are two exterminators but said <br />he would look into the matter when the contracts come up for renewal. <br />
