Mounds View City Council November 25, 2002 <br />Regular Meeting Page 14 <br />• <br />Council Member Marty agreed that twice a year would not work but he thinks the City does need <br />to start meeting. He then said you could not have awell-oiled machine if you only grease it <br />periodically. He further commented that the City needed to work on this before doing anything <br />hasty. <br />Council Member Stigney commented that he had no problem with additional meetings over and <br />above the contract requirements. <br />Ayes - 2 Nays - 3(Stigney/Thomas/Marty) Motion failed. <br />• <br />Mayor Sonterre requested that Staff immediately begin discussions as to what would have to <br />happen to meet the obligations by both parties as well as coming up with a relatively quick <br />conclusion of how this has gotten so big. <br />Council Member Thomas supported that request but asked for alternatives for how to correct the <br />problem if that does not include the YMCA. <br />Mr. Linke indicated he would like to see the numbers go to Park and Recreation for discussion. <br />F. Personnel Items <br />City Administrator Miller handed out information to Council. <br />Mayor Sonterre indicated these two items added to the agenda are both letters of resignation and <br />Staff is looking for Council approval. The first one is the letter of resignation from the Assistant <br />City Administrator Reed effective December 30, 2002. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Thomas. To Accept the Letter of Resignation From Assistant City <br />Administrator Reed. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />Mayor Sonterre indicated the second letter of resignation is from City Administrator Miller <br />effective December 31, 2002. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Thomas. To Accept the Letter of Resignation from City <br />Administrator Miller. <br />Mayor Sonterre read the letter of resignation from City Administrator Miller. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />• <br />
