Mounds View City Council December 9, 2002 <br />Regular Meeting Page 12 <br />. first step. He further indicated there are two issues, the first is Council pay and the second is the <br />Community Center. He then said he would be willing to concede on the Community Center if <br />someone wished to make a motion to amend Council pay. <br />Council Member Thomas indicated the first step is not to take something out of a budget, the <br />first step is to direct staff to find alternatives. <br />Council Member Stigney said he hated to do this but would like to make a motion to reconsider <br />the budget just rejected. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Stigney/Sonterre. To Reconsider Resolution 5899, a Resolution Adopting <br />the 2003 Property Tax Levy and General Fund Budget. <br />Council Member Quick said he would let the Community Center go if someone would make a <br />motion to change Council pay. <br />Council Member Stigney said he thinks this is ridiculous and he has made a motion to reconsider <br />the original document. <br />Mayor Sonterre indicated Council Member Thomas pointed out that, even though he did not <br />agree with the pay increase, it was the voice of the Council and he needs to stand behind the <br />• decision once it is made. <br />Council Member Quick called for a roll call vote. <br />ROLL CALL: Thomas -Aye, Stigney -Aye, Marty -Aye, Quick -Aye, Sonterre -Aye. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays -0 Motion carried. <br />Council Member Quick called for a roll call vote. <br />ROLL CALL: Thomas -Aye, Stigney -Aye, Marty -Aye, Quick -Aye, Sonterre -Aye. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />D. Consider Resolution 5900, a Resolution Adopting the 2003 Budgets for Funds <br />Other than the General Fund. <br />Finance Director Hansen indicated this Resolution would approve all the other budgets discussed <br />through summer and fall with the exception of capital projects. He then said that Staff needs to <br />do more work on the capital projects fund and will bring it to Council for consideration early in <br />2003. <br />
