MEETING IS CALLED TO ORDER <br />13 <br />14 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />15 <br />16 3. ROLL CALL: Linke, Quick (absent), Marty, Stigney, and Gunn <br />17 <br />18 4. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />19 <br />20 A. Monday, June 9, 2003 City Council Agenda. <br />21 <br />~2 Mayor Linke requested that items 5 and 6 on the agenda be heard in reverse order. <br />23 <br />24 MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Stigney. To Approve the Monday, June 9, 2003 Agenda as <br />25 Amended. <br />26 <br />27 Ayes - 4 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />28 <br />29 5. PUBLIC INPUT <br />30 <br />31 Dennis Haames addressed Council and indicated he lives at the corner of Quincy and County <br />32 Road I and asked for assistance with reimbursement for the damages done to his garage by snow <br />33 removal last winter. <br />34 <br />35 Mr. Haames provided earplugs to Council Members and asked that they all try sleeping in them <br />36 at night because that is what he has to do in order to get to sleep due to all the noise. <br />37 <br />38 Mayor Linke indicated that he has been working on the issue but, unless there is clearly <br />39 something illegal, there is not much the City can do. He then indicated that he talked to MNDOT <br />4o about the Jake braking but it is a county road. <br />41 <br />42 Mr. Haames indicated there is a town in southern Minnesota where the businesses could not <br />43 conduct business because of boom boxes and loud music so the Mayor, City Attorney, Chief of <br />Police and County Sheriff met and instituted an ordinance charging a $100.00 fine if the music <br />5 could be heard 25 feet away from the vehicle. That did not work so they started tagging them for <br />
