To Approve the City Council Minutes of June 9, 2003, as 2 Amended. 3 4 Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. 5 6 11. REPORTS 7 8 Council Member Stigney indicated he had attended the League of Minnesota Cities conference in 9 St. Cloud and sat in on some fiscal information and health insurance as well as budgeting and to haw to deal with City cutbacks. He also sat in on a seminar on how to stick together or fall apart, 11 working with other communities to piece together a common goal and he found the sessions to 12 be quite informative. 13 14 Council Member Stigney provided handout information on dealing with cutbacks for Council 15 Members. 16 17 Council Member Marty thanked Mr. Ericson for the administrator's report as it is excellent and 18 very helpful to keep Council apprised of what is going on. He then recognized Joe Kinney and 19 Officer Mennard who recently received commendations for performing their jobs in an 20 exceptional manner. 21 • 22 Council Member Marty indicated that the Festival in the Park would be held on August 16, and 23 17, 2003. 24 25 Council Member Quick indicated that when Mr. Ericson took on the job of Interim City 26 Administrator he put himself into a position that forced him to lose some vacation that he had 27 coming to him and he thinks now is a good time to bring this up because the City is very close to 28 hiring or coming to an agreement with a new administrator. He then said he feels Council should 29 reinstate the vacation that he was not able to take. 30 31 MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Linke.
