Mounds View City Council July 14, 2003 <br />Regular Meeting Page 5 <br />Council Member Quick indicated that this matter would need to be postponed because the <br />Mounds View Matters will not go out for a number of weeks. <br />Mayor Linke indicated that it takes two months to get something into the Mounds View Matters. <br />Council Member Stigney indicated he felt it is important enough, regardless of the delay, to <br />solicit input from residents. <br />Ayes - 2(Gunn/Stigney) Nays - 3 <br />Motion failed. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Marty. To Approve Consent Agenda Item E as Presented. <br />Ayes - 4 Nays -1(Stigney) Motion carried. <br />Mayor Linke indicated the City has a policy limiting the number of hours Staff can carry over <br />from year to year and Mr. Ericson lost hours because he was unable to take his vacation due to <br />his additional duties as Interim City Administrator and this Resolution would reinstate those <br />hours. <br />Council Member Marry indicated that he had pulled this item to recognize Mr. Ericson for doing <br />an outstanding job. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Many/Quick. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 6055 <br />Approving Reinstatement of Forfeited Vacation Hours for Jim Ericson. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />Interim City Administrator Ericson read Resolution 6057. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Quick. To Approve Resolution 6057, Authorizing a Step Increase <br />for Michael Sommer, Chief of Police. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />Council Member Council Member Stigney read Resolution 6058. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Quick. To Approve Resolution 6058, Authorizing a Step Increase <br />for Mary Burg, Golf Course Manager. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />9. COUNCIL BUSINESS <br />A. Consideration of Resolution 6046 Authorizing Staff to Advertise for a Part <br />Time Community Service Officer (CSO) in the Police Department. <br />
