Resolution 6067 Authorizing a Purchase of Tripod for Cable Department <br />12 <br />13 Council Member Marty requested that Item E be removed for discussion. <br />14 <br />15 Council Member Stigney requested that Item F be removed for discussion. <br />16 <br />17 MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Stigney. To Approve Consent Agenda Items A, B, C, and D as <br />18 Presented. <br />19 <br />20 Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />21 <br />~2 Council Member Marty asked whether this would be a permanent permit. <br />23 <br />24 Karen Wilkerson, the gambling manager for CLIMB indicated that it would be a permanent <br />25 permit. <br />26 <br />27 Mayor Linke indicated that the Staff report questions the trade area and whether the business <br />28 must be in the trade area. <br />29 <br />30 Ms. Crane read excerpts from the Ordinance and questioned whether the organization needed to <br />31 have an office within the City. She also indicated that she has questions concerning the trade <br />32 area. <br />33 <br />34 Mayor Linke questioned the number of active members CLIMB has because the majority of them <br />35 are employees. <br />36 <br />37 Ms. Wilkerson indicated that most organizations have gambling managers that are members and <br />38 90% are paid but the members are not paid. <br />39 <br />4o Mayor Linke indicated that he had spoken to Peg who indicated that most are paid members. <br />41 <br />42 Ms. Wilkerson indicated that they have gaming staff on the membership and those people are <br />~3 members and are paid staff. <br />4 <br />45 Mayor Linke asked if all the members of CLIMB itself are paid members or volunteers. <br />
