He further commented that they have been told that the
project would be done soon for the last six to eight months and he has not seen more than four
workers at a time out on the site.
Public Works Director Lee indicated that he has had discussions with the contractor and they
have begun today to finish the project and have made a commitment to stay on it until it is
complete and they are shooting for the end of the construction year, mid-November.
Mike Maroni of 5045 Brighton Lane asked if the contractors have been paid for any part.
Mayor Linke indicated that they are paid for the different phases of construction as they are
finished.
Mr. Maroni recommended not paying any more until the project is completed.
Council Member Marty indicated he has received a number of calls on this. He then said the
residents are exasperated because the project is not being completed and they only see a few guys
out on the site at a time. He then asked when the contractor is going to have a full crew on this
project and really get going on getting it completed.
Public Works Director Lee indicated it was his understanding that they would have a full crew
there today to begin working on finishing the project.
Council Member Marty suggested that these delays be considered when this contractor puts in
any future bids.
MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Gunn.
