To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 6125, a <br />7 Resolution Adopting a Special Assessment Levy for Diseased Tree Removals. <br />8 <br />9 Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />10 <br />11 J. Finance Department Quarterly Report <br />12 <br />13 Finance Director Hansen provided a brief overview of his quarterly report for Council indicating <br />14 that he feels there will be a balanced budget at year-end. <br />15 <br />16 Council Member Marty asked what the unused fund balance from the EDA for 2002 is. <br />17 <br />18 Finance Director Hansen indicated the amount of the balance relates to the Edgewood pond <br />19 project and there is a timing issue in receiving state grants that were promised but did not come <br />20 in and that balance is $210,000. <br />21 <br />~2 Council Member Marty asked whether the 475% for fire permits is a good thing. <br />23 <br />24 Finance Director Hansen indicated the budget was $200.00 and the actual is $950 so that is 4.5 <br />25 times the budget. <br />26 <br />27 Council Member Marty asked where the transfer for miscellaneous revenue comes from. <br />28 <br />29 Finance Director Hansen indicated that several different funds but this year from the vehicle and <br />30 equipment fund. <br />31 <br />32 Council Member Marty commented that on the street light charges revenues the budget is <br />33 $81,250 and the City collected $49,500 and that is not close to meeting this years projections. <br />34 <br />35 Finance Director Hansen indicated that it is a little closer than that number indicates because of a <br />36 timing issue in terms of when the rate increase went into effect. <br />37 <br />38 Council Member Marty asked where revenues are now for the YMCA as it is budgeted for <br />39 $20,000. <br />40 <br />41 Finance Director Hansen indicated that the City receives that information in January from the <br />42 YMCA. <br />3 <br />4 Council thanked Staff for the report <br />45 <br />
