APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />A. City Council Minutes October 13, 2003 <br />Council Member Marty asked that the Consent Agenda Items removed for discussion be labeled. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Marty. To Approve the City Council Minutes for October 13, 2003 <br />as Amended. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />11. REPORTS <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council <br />None. <br />B. Reports of Staff -Police Chief s Report on the Referendum <br />Chief Sommer made a presentation to Council concerning the referendum and explaining what <br />the police department does for the City and why it is important to hire more officers in Mounds <br />View. <br />Mayor Linke indicated it was the Council's decision to put the vote on the upcoming election so <br />that the citizens of Mounds View could determine if they want to pay higher taxes to increase <br />policing. <br />Mayor Linke indicated he received a letter from Brian Elder from Boy Scout Troup 367 asking <br />that the City put up signs encouraging people not to litter as it hurts the environment and animals. <br />
