MEETING IS CALLED TO ORDER <br />13 <br />14 2. ROLL CALL: Linke, Quick, Marty, Stigney, and Gunn <br />15 <br />16 3. Mayor Linke asked for questions and comments. None were given. <br />17 <br />18 Marty/Gunn move to accept termination agreement. <br />19 <br />20 Term Agreement Passes 4-1 with Councilmember Roger Stigney in opposition. <br />21 Councilmember Stigney stated that the reason for his opposition is that he feels that the <br />~2 termination is too expensive. <br />3 <br />24 The Mayor asked for comments and questions regarding the RFP. Some discussion <br />25 ensued about minor changes to the RFP. They talked about a 30 day term clause, but <br />26 decided to stick with a 60 day term provision. It was questions on how to handle events <br />27 booked after 2004. <br />28 <br />29 Mr. Dan Hall of the Mermaid suggested the RFP should be a permanent rather than an <br />30 Interim, but if it's an interim, a 20% booking fee should be given to the cateror for all <br />31 events. The interim management agreement can be drafted to address future bookings. <br />32 <br />33 Councilmember Stigney asked why there is discussion about future bookings now. Dan <br />34 Hall suggested it was in everyone best interest. <br />35 <br />36 Mr. Greg Waste discussed the possibility of a permanent agreement and stated that <br />37 $10,000 is a lot of money. On the 12th of November, Community Ed space is leased. <br />38 Mr. Waste expressed frustrations that he was not included in discussions earlier. He <br />39 talked about Internet wiring which was put into Community Ed space. <br />40 <br />41 Aaron Backman addressed the Community Education space, and stated nothing is booked <br />42 and no agreements finalized. Internet access was installed in the Banquet Center for use <br />~3 by future tenants, but Community Education had service already. <br />4 <br />45 Councilmember Stigney asked about potential for bookings. <br />
