Mounds View City Council June 14, 2004 <br />Regular Meeting Page 5 <br />• Community Development Director Ericson stated the city of Blaine had asked that a more <br />generic name be considered that could be applied to the cities of Blaine and Spring Lake Park. <br />Blaine had requested that the three cities have a meeting to discuss a name. <br />Mayor Linke opened the public hearing. <br />Jennifer Klossen, Marketing Director for Northtown Mall, stated she supported the cities getting <br />together to come up with a universal name to eliminate confusion. <br />Mayor Linke stated the mayor of Spring Lake Park had notified him he would like to discuss the <br />issue also. He also stated he would like to see the name be Mounds View Boulevard. He stated <br />the three Councils should get together in an informal meeting to discuss the issue. <br />Council member Quick suggested a committee rather than the entire Council. <br />City Clerk/Administrator Ulrich stated there was a joint meeting on July 22 with the cities of <br />Blaine and Spring Lake park to discuss fire department issues, and he suggested putting this item <br />on that agenda. <br />Christine Schnor, 2935 Highway 10, who is a bus driver, stated she would like to have one name <br />for the entire stretch of Highway 10 to eliminate confusion. <br />• Council Member Stigney stated they owe it to the other cities to discuss it with them. He stated a <br />concern regarding postal service delivery. <br />Community Development Director Ericson stated the issue would have to be addressed with the <br />post office. <br />MOTION/SECOND. Linke/Marty. To continue the public hearing until a date after the Council <br />meets with the Blaine and Spring Lake Park Councils. <br />Ayes-5 Nays-0 Motion carried. <br />B. Resolution 6283 in Consideration of a Development Review for an Addition <br />to the Bioclean Building, 2151 Mustang Drive. <br />Council Member Marty momentarily left the meeting. <br />MOTION/SECOND. Quick/Stigney. To approve Resolution 6283, in Consideration of a <br />Development Review for an Addition to the Bioclean Building, 2151 Mustang Drive. <br />Ayes-4 Nays-0 Motion carried. <br />• Council Member Marty returned to the meeting. <br />
