To approve Resolution 6330, Approving Application to conduct Excluded Bingo at the Festival in the park of Mounds View for the 2004 Festival in the Park Event. Ayes-5 Naves-0 Motion carried. E. Cancel a Public Hearing for August 23, 2004 at 7:OSpm for a Second Reading of Ordinance 742, Amending Section 2.06 (Mayor's Powers and Duties), Section 4.05 (Vacancy of Municipal Elected Office), and Section 9.01 (Acquisition of Property) of the City Charter. F. Cancel a Public Hearing for August 23, 2004, at 7:lOpm for the Second Reading of Ordinance 743, Amending Chapter 5 of the City Charter and reschedule the Public Hearing for September 13, 2004 at 7:OSpm. • Council Member Stigney asked why there is this canceling since further down in the agenda there is a public hearing being set. City Clerk/Administrator Ulrich stated they were cancelled because the City Attorney had questions on the Charter, and he felt he should be at the Council meeting for the first reading, so both sections were pushed back until September 13th so the Council could have their questions answered. MOTION/SECOND. Stigney/Many. To approve Items E and F as presented. Ayes-5 Nayes-0 Motion carried. M. Resolution 6326 Approving a Contract for the 2004 to 2007 Sanitary Sewer Root Abatement Project. Council Member Marty stated he wanted to thank staff for being proactive and securing the City a very good contract. MOTION/SECOND. Marty/Gunn.
