Mounds View City Council March 28, 2005 <br />Regular Meeting Page 16 <br />were going to be saved. • <br />Mayor Marry stated that there were issues with grading and elevation levels, and a pond also had <br />to be created, so that may have had an impact on some of the scrub trees. <br />Gary Nordness stated that the initial water table was only 2 %2 feet, so putting in the basements <br />meant taking out the trees, and also the ponding had taken out a range of trees. He stated they <br />had tried to save as many trees as they could. <br />Mayor Marty closed the public hearing. <br />Council Member Flaherty stated that the City generally does not buy property unless there is a <br />plan for it. <br />Mayor Marty stated that that is the consensus of this City Council, and the City had owned a <br />portion of that piece of property for a period of time, and they had purchased one other house a <br />number of years ago. <br />MOTION/SECOND. Public Hearin to consider Resolution 6488 to ado t the ro osed • <br />P g P P P <br />assessment for the Mounds View Manufactured Home Park Second Access <br />Project. <br />Public Works Director Lee stated this project is now complete, and the total project cost is <br />$17,789.80. He stated the proposed assessment is $16,508.75 to the manufactured home <br />community. <br />Mayor Many opened the public hearing. There being no public comment, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />MOTION/SECOND. Gunn/Flaherry. To waive the reading and approve Resolution 6488 to <br />adopt the proposed assessment for the Mounds View Manufactured Home Park Second Access <br />Project. <br />Kathy Pearson, manager of the Mounds View Manufactured Home Park, stated that this has <br />slowed the traffic down immensely, and everybody likes it. <br />Ayes-5 Nays-0 Motion carried. <br />F.
