To approve Items B, C, and D of the Consent Agenda as <br />presented. <br />Ayes-5 Nays-0 Motion carried. <br />A. Resolution 6480 Approving the Purchase of Items Associated with the 2005 <br />Parks Improvement Project. <br />Mayor Many asked if it was going to be about $8,000 to do the parking lot. <br />Public Works Director Lee stated that it was, and the crack sealing would be done in 2005, and <br />they would include the rest of the parking lot as a chip seal, with a larger street chip sealing <br />project in 2006. He stated they are hoping to get better bids on that to be included with the larger • <br />project. <br />Mayor Marty stated he didn't notice it in 2006 and he asked if it was on there. <br />Public Works Director Lee stated that this is just from 2005. <br />Mayor Marty stated this is just 2004, and the total cost estimate carried over from 2004 was <br />$23,353, and this year the total cost estimate is $38,400. He asked whether all of these were <br />absolutely necessary and if the funding was coming from the Park and Recreation dedication fee. <br />Public Works Director Lee stated that that was correct, and the funds utilized would be coming <br />completely from the Park Dedication Fund. <br />Mayor Marty stated that on the summation of the 2005 Park Dedication Fund, it's $43,200 that <br />was budgeted. He stated that the Park Dedication Fund is spending down rapidly at this point, <br />especially with the Groveland Park building. He stated he didn't want this Council to do as other <br />Council's had done such as spending the street fund down to zero. <br />Finance Director Hansen stated he didn't recall the exact numbers, but the Park Dedication Fund <br />at the end of 2004 had between $400,000 and $500,000. He stated over the next three or four <br />years the Park Dedication Fund does get spent down to zero, but even if they were to cut some of • <br />these items, without new money coming into the Park Dedication Fund, at some point it is going <br />
