MEETING IS CALLED TO ORDER <br />2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Girl Scout Troop 530 presented the flags and led the City Council in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />3. ROLL CALL: Marty, Gunn, Flaherty, and Stigney <br />NOT PRESENT: Thomas <br />• <br />4. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />A. Monday, May 23, 2005 City Council Agenda. <br />City Attorney Riggs referenced Items 9A and 9B and suggested holding the public hearing but <br />postpone the vote until the next City Council meeting. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Flaherty. To Approve the Monday, May 23, 2005 agenda as <br />amended. <br />Ayes - 4 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />5. PUBLIC INPUT <br />David Jahnke, 8428 Eastwood Road, stated that he has been watching the EDA meetings noting <br />that he understands that there are those who do love this golf course. He expressed concerns <br />stating that the City took a survey of the Residents noting that 63-percent of the respondents do <br />not want to keep the golf course. He stated that many of the residents in Mounds View are not <br />present to voice their opinion but they did express their opinion through the survey and stated <br />that they do not want the golf course. He noted the billboard contract stating that he does not <br />know of another golf course in the City that has to be subsidized by another business and urged <br />Council to go with what the people have already said in the survey. <br />• <br />
