Flaherty/Gunn To Approve the City Council Minutes, May 23, 2005 as <br />amended. <br />Ayes-4 Nays-0 Abstain-1 (Thomas) Motion carried. <br />11. REPORTS <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council <br />Mayor Marty noted Steve, a resident, had called him about a month ago, asking about the City <br />hall remodel. He stated that he mentioned the conversation to City Clerk/Administrator Ulrich <br />stating that it involved installing an air conditioning unit in the video room and shelving. He <br />stated that the resident suggested that instead of taking the funds from the special project fund <br />that they take it from the cable fund. He stated that he agrees with the suggestion adding that it is <br />a very good idea. Council agreed. <br />Mayor Marty reminded everyone that the EDA is having a special public hearing next Monday, <br />June 20, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. at the Community Center. He stated that the topic of discussion <br />would be The Bridges Golf Course and the Medtronic proposal. <br />S. Staff <br />• City Clerk/Administrator Ulrich stated that they have interviewed two candidates for the Finance <br />Director position. He stated that he intends to set up a meeting with the Council for the last week <br />in June to have the Council interview the candidates. The Council suggested planning the <br />interviews before next Council meeting. <br />City Clerk/Administrator Ulrich stated that he received responses regarding the renaming of <br />Highway 10 noting that they did not particularly care for the name. <br />Mayor Marty stated that he spoke with the Harley Wells, the Mayor of Spring Lake Park, about <br />the command vehicle they would be sharing with the Fire Departments. He stated that Spring <br />Lake Park authorized the plans to go out for bids and once they got the bids they want it to come <br />back to them. He stated that he was not sure if their resolution authorized that the bids come <br />back to Council for their review and approval. <br />City Clerk/Administrator Ulrich stated that the bids would have to come back to Council for <br />review and final approval. <br />C.
