MEETING IS CALLED TO ORDER AT 6:22 P.M. <br />2. ROLL CALL: Marry, Stigney, Gunn, Flaherty, and Thomas <br />NOT PRESENT: None. <br />3. APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA <br />MOTION/SECOND:. Gunn/Flahery. To Approve the Monday, June 20, 2005 agenda as <br />presented. <br />• Mayor Marty opened both public hearings at 6:24 p.m. <br />4. INTRODUCTION <br />A video regarding The Bridges Golf Course was shown to the audience. <br />5. OVERVIEW OF PROPOSAL (City Administrator Kurt Ulrich) <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated the project involved the sale and development of 72.2 acres of <br />land known as The Bridges Golf Course to Medtronic Corporation for a CRM corporate campus. <br />He stated the project required consideration and approval of a development agreement and tax <br />increment financing assistance. He noted the City was first approached by CRESA partners in <br />July of 2004. He reviewed the action items that would need to be approved by the CityBDA and <br />the history of the project. He summarized the impacts of the project including financial, <br />economic, environmental, airport, city services, and traffic. <br />6. REVIEW OF ALTERNATIVES (Community Development Director Jim Ericson) <br />Community Development Director Ericson summarized other options/alternatives for The <br />Bridges Golf Course. He indicated option one was the "do nothing" approach and keeping the <br />golf course as was, reaping the benefits of the twenty-year billboard leases. The second option <br />• was to keep the golf course and sell the driving range. The third option was to keep the golf <br />course, sell the driving range, and build a new driving range. The fourth option was to relocate <br />
