RESOLUTION NO. 10061 Item 06A <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION TO THE MOUNDS VIEW <br /> ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION FOR THEIR DEDICATED SERVICE <br /> WHEREAS,the Mounds View Economic Development Commission (EDC)was established in 1994; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Commission has served as an advisory commission to the Economic Development Authority on <br /> matters relating to fostering a positive economic climate, encouraging economic development, and enhancing the tax base of <br /> the city;and <br /> WHEREAS, the Commission has made recommendations to the Economic Development Authority regarding <br /> retention and expansion of existing businesses, attraction of desirable new businesses, redevelopment and rehabilitation <br /> opportunities and other appropriate economic development strategies; and <br /> WHEREAS, because of reduced economic development activity as Mounds View is nearly fully development and <br /> the fact that the EDC has accomplished most of the priority items over the years, the City Council has approved to dissolve <br /> the Commission; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View would like to acknowledge the members serving on the Commission at the <br /> time of its dissolvement;and <br /> WHEREAS,these members have served on the Economic Development Commission with heartfelt dedication and <br /> enthusiasm;and <br /> WHEREAS,these members have shown a sincere interest in the welfare of the citizens of Mounds View during their <br /> tenure on the Commission. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council,on behalf of Staff and the residents of the City of <br /> Mounds View, expresses its sincere appreciation to the members of the Economic Development Commission for their <br /> dedicated service on the Mounds View Economic Development Commission: <br /> Andrew Kovacs - one year Jason Helgemoe- 23 years <br /> Gary Rundle -5 years Jeff Moritko - 3 years <br /> Gary Stevenson- 12 years Jim Freichels- 12 years <br /> Adopted this 10'day of March, 2025. <br /> ------------------------------ <br /> Mayor Zach Lindstrom <br /> ------------------------------ ------ --------------------- <br /> Council Member Gary Meehlhause Council Member Sherry Gunn <br /> ------------------------------ ------------------------------- <br /> Council Member Julie Clark Council Member Kathryn Smith <br /> ATTEST: <br /> (SEAL) <br /> ---------------------------- <br /> City Administrator Nyle Zikmund <br />
