Item No. 08B 025 MOUN-DS VIEW Meeting Date: March si ess:Type of Business: Administrator Review: CB City of Mounds View Staff Report To: Honorable Mayor and City Council From: Nyle Zikmund, City Administrator Item Title/Subject: Second Reading and Adoption of Ordinance Nos. 1026 through 1033 Introduction: Staff keeps a running list of proposed revisions needed to the Mounds View City Code. We bring before you the following proposed ordinances with amendments to several chapters of the City Code. Discussion: Here is a brief description of the proposed ordinance changes to the City Code: Ordinance 1026, Chapter 10 — Add City Administrator and Code Enforcement Officer to list of those authorized to issue administrative offenses for Mobile Food Vehicles and Peddlers, Solicitors, Transient Merchants. Ordinance 1027, Chapter 33 — Remove the entire section regarding "Police Advisory Commission" from the City Code as the commission has been disbanded. Ordinance 1028, Chapter 71 — Update the definition of "Truck" to include recreation vehicles as requested by the Code Enforcement Inspector. Ordinance 1029, Chapter 90 — Update conditions of a honeybee-keeping license to include Staff to contact licensees on an annual basis to confirm that hives are still active. Ordinance 1030, Chapter 91 - Add "recreational vehicle to the definition of a "commercial vehicle" AND remove definition of noxious weeds and replace with MN Department of Ag's "Noxious Weed List". Ordinance 1031, Chapter 118 — Add criminal background check to conditions of City cigarette/tobacco license as Staff already conducted background check for new licenses. However, we are including renewals. Ordinance 1032, Chapter 120 — Remove mobile food truck/vendor license requirement, but keep certain operating conditions.
