Item No. 08B <br /> 025 <br /> MOUN-DS VIEW <br /> Meeting Date: March si ess:Type of Business: <br /> Administrator Review: CB <br /> City of Mounds View Staff Report <br /> To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br /> From: Nyle Zikmund, City Administrator <br /> Item Title/Subject: Second Reading and Adoption of Ordinance Nos. 1026 <br /> through 1033 <br /> Introduction: <br /> Staff keeps a running list of proposed revisions needed to the Mounds View City Code. <br /> We bring before you the following proposed ordinances with amendments to several <br /> chapters of the City Code. <br /> Discussion: <br /> Here is a brief description of the proposed ordinance changes to the City Code: <br /> Ordinance 1026, Chapter 10 — Add City Administrator and Code Enforcement Officer to <br /> list of those authorized to issue administrative offenses for Mobile Food Vehicles and <br /> Peddlers, Solicitors, Transient Merchants. <br /> Ordinance 1027, Chapter 33 — Remove the entire section regarding "Police Advisory <br /> Commission" from the City Code as the commission has been disbanded. <br /> Ordinance 1028, Chapter 71 — Update the definition of "Truck" to include recreation <br /> vehicles as requested by the Code Enforcement Inspector. <br /> Ordinance 1029, Chapter 90 — Update conditions of a honeybee-keeping license to <br /> include Staff to contact licensees on an annual basis to confirm that hives are still <br /> active. <br /> Ordinance 1030, Chapter 91 - Add "recreational vehicle to the definition of a <br /> "commercial vehicle" AND remove definition of noxious weeds and replace with MN <br /> Department of Ag's "Noxious Weed List". <br /> Ordinance 1031, Chapter 118 — Add criminal background check to conditions of City <br /> cigarette/tobacco license as Staff already conducted background check for new <br /> licenses.
