Mounds View City Council June 22, 2009 <br />Regular Meeting Page 6 <br />. recommend a revocation at that time. <br />Hearing no public input, Mayor Flaherty closed the continued public hearing at 8:13 p.m. <br />Council Member Stigney asked what has been identified as the problem for the property sale not <br />closing. Clerk-Administrator Ericson stated it is between Ramsey County and the surveyor that <br />prepared the plat. Once the plat is submitted, it should not be long before the City can sign the <br />plat and submit it to Ramsey County for recording. <br />Council Member Mueller asked if the property owner is agreeable to the deadline on the utility <br />bill and fire inspection compliance issues. Assistant Clerk-Administrator Crane stated she is <br />unsure but has left a message with the property owner. She stated July 10, 2009 allows enough <br />time in the event the Council wants to discuss the revocation process. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Gunn. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 7461, <br />Approving an On Sale Intoxicating Liquor License for The Mermaid. <br />Council Member Stigney asked about the date for a satisfactory Fire Marshal re-inspection. <br />Assistant Clerk-Administrator Crane noted the June 18, 2009 letter from the Fire Marshal <br />includes the date of June 30, 2009. <br />• Community Development Director Roberts explained the current owner is not able to make some <br />of the corrections until after the sale of the property and suggested a date of September 1, 2009 <br />be considered. <br />FRIENDLY AMENDMENT: Council Members Mueller and Gunn agreed to a friendly <br />amendment to require a satisfactory fire re-inspection by September 1, 2009. <br />Mayor Flaherty stated the owners are not present tonight but he has been assured they have been <br />cooperative with the process. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />D. Continued Public Hearing: Resolution 7457, a Resolution to Consider an On <br />Sale Intoxicating Liquor License for Taiko Sushi Bar at 2394 County <br />Highway 10. <br />Assistant Clerk-Administrator Crane stated that this item was to be considered on June 8, 2009; <br />however, the paperwork was not then completed. She stated the Police Department, Finance <br />Department and Fire Marshal have issued satisfactory reports and staff recommends approval <br />subject to a satisfactory background check. <br />Hearing no public input, Mayor Flaherty closed the continued public hearing at 8:20 p.m. <br />• MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Hull.
