Mounds View City Council January 9, 2006 <br />Regular Meeting Page 24 <br /> <br />Councilmember Flaherty agreed this is a blight on Mounds View and something needs to happen. <br />He stated his support for staff to talk with the property owner about a sale price and to research <br />environmental studies. He suggested the City also look at what to do with the property and what <br />the interest would be. <br />Mayor Marty asked staff to prepare ideas to market this property. <br />3. Update on City Hall Renovation <br />City Administrator Ulrich reported that the City Hall renovation project is coming along well and <br />the entrance areas have been bricked. He stated he toured the building with Councilmember <br />Gunn today and invited other Councilmembers to view the building. He stated that staff will <br />return with a furniture proposal some time in February. <br />4. Community Center Task Force <br />• <br />Mayor Marty stated there is now a Task Force to look at the Community CenterBanquet Facility. <br />He explained that when he served on the YMCA Advisory Committee several years ago, there <br />were issues on accountability, damages at the community center, and who was responsible. He <br />stated those issues deserve some scrutiny. <br />Councilmember Gunn advised that issue was brought up today. <br />C. Reports of City Attorney <br />None. <br />12.
