Monday, February 13, 2006 City Council Agenda <br />• MOTION/SECOND: GUNN/FLAHERTY. To Approve the Monday, February 13, 2006 agenda <br />as presented. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />5. PUBLIC INPUT <br />None. <br />6. SPECLAL ORDER OF BUISNESS <br />A. Presentation by Senator Betzold regarding the upcoming 2006 Legislative <br />Session <br />Mayor Marty welcomed Senator Don Betzold. <br />Senator Don Betzold stated the legislative session will start on March 1, 2006 and pointed out <br />that it is not a budget year. He noted that the budget forecast that came out in November <br />predicted there would be a $700 million surplus for the time period ending June 30, 2007. He <br />stated this is not really there because of delayed payments to the school districts. He stated the <br />law says that the surplus must go back to paying school districts on time.
