Mounds View City Council April 24, 2006 <br />Regular Meeting Page 7 <br /> <br /> <br />Mayor Marty stated that he received a couple of comments from residents about the naming of <br />the new cul-de-sac as Pleasant View Drive. He stated that Pleasant View Drive continues on to <br />the north and continues on to the south and is disjointed for a couple of blocks. He stated there <br />may be confusion for people following Pleasant View Drive. He wondered if there is any reason <br />to call it Pleasant View Drive. <br /> <br />Planning Associated Heller suggested it could be named Pleasant View Circle. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: FLAHERTY/THOMAS. To waive the reading and approve Resolution <br />6794 Approving the Final Plat and Development Agreement for the Hidden Hollow South Major <br />Subdivision. <br /> <br />Councilmember Stigney asked if the street construction costs will be covered by the <br />development. Planning Associate Heller stated it would. <br /> <br />Director Ericson asked for a confirmation on the street name. The Council agreed it should be <br />named Pleasant View Circle. <br /> <br />Brian Amundsen, 3048 Woodale Drive, asked for clarification that the existing street would not <br />be renamed, and only the extension running north and south would be renamed. The Council <br />indicated that was correct. <br /> <br />Mayor Marty asked if there is going to be a trailway along the western border that is north of <br />Hidden Hollow South where the City easement is. Planning Associate Heller stated it would be <br />an access trail. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />C. First Reading of Ordinance 772, an Ordinance Amending Chapter 7 of the <br />City Charter. <br /> <br /> Assistant to the City Administrator Crane explained on April 18, 2006, the Mounds View <br />Charter Commission adopted Resolution 2006-05, which put forward suggested amendments to <br />the Charter in Chapter 7 relating to “Taxation and Finances”. She noted that these amendments <br />were discussed at the April 18, 2006 Special Work Session between the Mounds View Charter <br />Commission and the City Council. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: GUNN/FLAHERTY. To waive the reading and approve the Introduction <br />and First Reading of Ordinance 772, an Ordinance Amending Chapter 7 of the City Charter. <br /> <br />Councilmember Stigney stated that he thought the whole Section 7 should have been before the <br />Council instead of doing it in pieces. <br /> <br />Councilmember Flaherty commented that the joint meeting between the Council and Charter
