Mounds View City Council July 10, 2006 <br />Regular Meeting Page 31 <br />MOTION/SECOND: FLAHERTY/MARTY. To A rove the June 26 2006 Ci Council <br />Pp ~ tY <br />meeting minutes as corrected. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />11. REPORTS <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council <br />Mayor Marty stated that residents on Quincy Street commented about the trails and how nice <br />they are. He stated the resident would like to commend Public Works Staff and others who have <br />worked on the trails. <br />Mayor Marty publicly commended the Staff and citizens who have contributed to the clean trails. <br />B. Reports of Staff <br />Administrator Ulrich reported that Representative Bernardy will not be running for the House. <br />Administrator Ulrich announced that Director Lee is the proud father of a new baby girl. <br />1.) Report on 2345 County Road H2, Property Operated as Vino and Stogies <br />Director Ericson stated that the owners of Vino and Stogies are considering a major investment <br />in the property and are wondering if the City would be interested in purchasing the property. <br />The Council agreed that they are not interested in purchasing the property at this time. <br />Mayor Marty stated that realigning the intersection will require more than that property and the <br />Council will keep the information under consideration. <br />2.) Update on Premium Stop Property <br />Director Ericson stated that the City closed on the property on June 29th. He stated at the next <br />meeting there will be a resolution authorizing demolition and a market study of the project. <br />Finance Director Beer stated that he met with the City of Blaine regarding payment for fire bonds <br />and the City has been overpaying since 1991, which equals about $61,000. He stated the City is <br />currently working on a repayment plan. <br />12.
