Mounds View City Council July 24, 2006 <br />Regular Meeting Page 26 <br />they are hoping to schedule for the needs during those times, but are willing to be flexible with <br />the facility use. She stated that there are breaks between the shows and they are not looking to <br />monopolize the space. She stated the main reason for using the multipurpose C room is for <br />rehearsals. She stated that weekends are their peak times and they are hoping to use those dates <br />regularly. <br />Councilmember Flaherty asked how important Multipurpose Room C is to McIntyre and the <br />Community Center. She responded that it is the main room used for their programming. She <br />stated it is being used 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. She added that the Multipurpose Room would be <br />unavailable during performances as well. <br />City Attorney Riggs suggested no decision should be made on the resolution and that Staff <br />should come back with a lease at the next meeting. <br />Councilmembers Stigney and Flaherty WITHDREW their motion to approve Resolution 6892 <br />Approving the Selection of Oops Dinner Theatre as a Mounds View Community Center tenant <br />and Authorizing Staff to prepare an Interim Lease Agreement. <br />MOTION/SECOND: STIGNEY/FLAHERTY. To Direct Staff to prepare a Lease Agreement <br />with Oops Dinner Theater and bring it back to the Council for approval. <br />• Councilmember Flaherty asked that Oops Theater and the Community Center Staff work together <br />regarding scheduling. <br />Councilmember Gunn asked about the weddings. Mr. McIntyre replied there is one in <br />September, one in April, and one in June. Councilmember Gunn asked if they should go ahead <br />and book the weddings. Councilmember Flaherty stated the only one in conflict would be <br />September. Mayor Marty stated that he would approve the weddings. <br />Councilmember Thomas asked for an answer regarding weddings. She stated that the Council <br />needs to make the decision. <br />Councilmember Stigney stated that he would like to go back to the original option approving the <br />six-month lease with Oops. <br />Ayes - 4 Nays - 1 (Marty) Motion carried. <br />CONTINUATION OF MEETING 10:50 p.m. <br />MOTION/SECOND: STIGNEY/THOMAS.
