Resolution 6955, Authorization to Grant Utility Easement
Mayor Many said that he wanted to ask about this because, even though he agrees with it, he was
wondering if there is a possibility that these lines could be buried. And, if so, would there be a
great cost to do so. He then said that he knows of another area in the western part of down
during the storm last September that went without power for an additional week and he feels that
under grounding the power in that neighborhood along with this line would be a good idea
because the trees always interfere whenever there is a storm.
Council Member Thomas said that the property owners usually bear the cost of under grounding
• the power and the City should look into the costs before recommending it.
