To waive the reading and adopt Resolution 6830 <br />an Off Sale intoxicating Liquor License Renewal for ABC Liquor located at 2840 Highway 10. <br />Ayes — 5 Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />E. Continued Public Hearing from June 12, 2006, to consider Resolution 6833 <br />an On Sale Intoxicating Liquor License Renewal for Robert's Sports Bar and <br />Entertainment located at 2400 County Road H2 <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated this item was postponed from the June 12t" meetings, when <br />several residents voice specific complaints about the operation including noise and trash. He <br />said they attached police reports to the Staff report. IIe stated the owner of Robert's Sports Bar <br />and Entertainment is here to address complaints. <br />Mayor Marty re -opened the public hearing at 9:04 p.m. <br />Mr. Hutchinson, the attorney for Mr. Waste, the owner of Robert's, stated they reviewed the <br />Police Department record, and in the last 18 months, there have been 7 noise complaints, 3 of <br />which were anonymous, 5 of which were in 2004, and 3 of which were in 2006. He said before <br />the meeting last month, Mr. Waste was not aware of the noise complaints. <br />Mr. Hutchinson stated it is the nature of the nightclub that there will be noise around the bar and <br />in the street. He said Mr. Waste will do everything he can to be treat his neighbors well. He said <br />some of the complaints were that the doors were left open and Mr. Waste and the nightclub <br />managers have addressed the issue. <br />Mr. Hutchinson added that the traffic noise could be coming from many different places, not <br />necessarily Robert's. IIe said that Robert's does not condone the behavior, that the bar has a <br />good relationship with the Police Department. He said he does not believe anyone has been <br />tagged for excessive noise in or directly outside the lot. <br />Mr. Hutchinson stated the nightclub has been there for 20-30 years, and to some extent, there will <br />always be some noise associated. He said Mr. Waste will do his best to be courteous, and that <br />there have not been an inordinate number of police calls. Mr. Iutchinson said it is not a "biker <br />bar," and that motorcyclists patronize several bars in the area. <br />Sarah Mears, 5292 Edgewood Drive, stated she does not care about the motorcycle noise. She <br />said her concern is the music and that even with the doors in the bar closed and in their house <br />shut, that they can hear the noise. <br />
