Second Reading and Adoption of Ordinance 665, an Ordinance Rezoning <br />Properties Associated with the Walgreens Development from B-3 and PF to <br />PUD. <br /> <br />Planning Associate Ericson explained that Ordinance 665 rezones the properties associated with <br />the Walgreens planned unit development at the northeast corner of Highway 10 and Edgewood <br />Drive. The City’s remnant parcel would be rezoned to PUD from PF, the Midland Videen land <br />would be rezoned to PUD, except that part to be joined with the Community Center, which <br />would be rezoned PF, and the Community Center would be rezoned PF instead of the current B-3 <br />business commercial designation. The City Council approved the first reading of Ordinance 665 <br />at its meeting on August 14, 2000 and staff recommends the Council approve the second reading <br />and adopt Ordinance 665. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Marty. To Wave the Reading, Approve the Second Reading and <br />Adopt Ordinance 665, an Ordinance Rezoning Properties Associated with the Walgreens <br />Development from B-3 and PF to PUD. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL: Thomason, Stigney, Marty, Quick, Mayor Coughlin. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mayor Coughlin stated for the record that this second reading and adoption were approved by the <br />unanimous vote of the Council. <br /> <br />7. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />A. Approve Just and Correct Claims. <br />B. Licenses for Approval. <br />C. Approve Resolution 5465 setting forth a tentative timetable for preparing and <br />adopting the 2001 budget and long term financial plan. <br />D. Set a Public Hearing for 7:05 p.m., Monday, September 11, 2000, for the Second <br />Reading and Adoption of Ordinance 668, an Ordinance Vacating a Sign Easement <br />No Longer Serving a Public Purpose. <br /> <br />Mayor Coughlin asked the Council if anyone would like to remove items for discussion. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Thomason. To Approve the Consent Agenda for Items A, B, C, <br />and D, as presented. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />8. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br />Mayor Coughlin advised of ongoing discussions related to Highway 10 in cooperation with <br />Springsted to develop an short and long term plan including safety, aesthetics, and traffic flow. <br />Mayor Coughlin thanked all who have provided input thus far for their input and encouraged <br />anyone with comments to contact him or City staff.
