Mounds View City Council May 12, 2008 <br />Regular Meeting Page 2 <br />Joe Rhein provided an update on the 2008 Street Maintenance project, to date, for Council. The <br />total estimated project cost is $176,470.75 and the budget for this project was set at $217,000. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 7273, <br />Approving the Plans and Specifications, Setting a Bid Date, and Authorizing the Advertisement <br />for Bids for the 2008 Street Maintenance Project. <br />Council Member Flaherty and Mayor Marty thanked Joe for his work on behalf of the City and <br />said his reports have been excellent. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />B. Resolution 7269, Authorizing a Fiber Optic Use Agreement with North Saint <br />Paul. <br />Finance Director Beer explained that this Resolution would authorize payment to North Saint <br />Paul to extend fiber optic cable to the Ramsey County Library in Mounds View. <br />Mayor Marty thanked Finance Director Beer for his organization of this project. <br />Council Member Mueller noted that this contract was reviewed by the City Attorney. Finance <br />• Director Beer confirmed that the City Attorney has reviewed the contract. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Stigney. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 7269, <br />Authorizing a Fiber Optic Use Agreement with North Saint Paul. <br />Council Member Flaherty said that anything that makes the local library look good to the Library <br />Board is a good thing. He then said that this makes the library more useful to residents. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />C. Resolution 7270, Authorizing a Longevity Increase for Officer Keith <br />Czarnecki, Mounds View Police Department. <br />Acting Administrator Crane reviewed Resolution 7270 with Council. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Flaherty/Mueller. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 7270, <br />Authorizing a Longevity Increase for Officer Keith Czarnecki, Mounds View Police Department. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />D. Resolution 7271, Authorizing Interim Compensation for Steve Dazenski, <br />Parks Supervisor. <br />
