Mounds View City Council June 9, 2008 <br />Regular Meeting Page 6 <br />• MOTION/SECOND: Stigney/Mueller. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 7292, a <br />Resolution to Consider an Off Sale 3.2 Malt Liquor License for SuperAmerica Located at 2840 <br />County Road I. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />J. Continued Public Hearing, First Reading of Ordinance 809 to Vacate a <br />Surface Water Easement at Greenfield Estates Apartments, 7521 - 7661 <br />Greenfield Avenue & 2370 County Road I. <br />Clerk Administrator Ericson explained that this request was before Council at the last meeting <br />and the public hearing continued to allow the applicant to fully discuss the engineering and <br />surface water management with Rice Creek Watershed District. Their engineers are reviewing <br />the Rice Creek Watershed District requirements. This is in regard to the garage buildings they <br />would like to construct on the property. <br />Mayor Marry asked if anyone would like to speak. <br />Dan Tilsen from XX Engineering hired to work on this issue by the property owner said that he is <br />here to answer any questions. <br />Council Member Flaherty indicated that he supports the property owner wanting to upgrade for <br />safety of residents and improvement of the property. <br />Council Member Mueller said that there were break ins as the fact that the garages did not face <br />the apartments created an area to hang out. She then said that she supports the vacation. <br />Mayor Marty suggested the channel be dug deeper to allow for more capacity. <br />Mayor Marry closed the public hearing at 8:00 p.m. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Flaherty/Mueller. To Waive the Reading and Introduce Ordinance 809 to <br />Vacate a Surface Water Easement at Greenfield Estates Apartments, 7521 - 7661 Greenfield <br />Avenue & 2370 County Road I. <br />Mayor Many indicated that this has been in the works for a while, and this will help to fix an <br />existing problem and provide a solution for security. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />K. Resolution 7279, County Road 10 Trailway Project: Segments 1 - 5. <br />Approving the Feasibility Report, Ordering the Project with Revised Scope <br />and Authorizing the Plans and Specifications. <br />
