Mounds View City Council July 14, 2008 <br />Regular Meeting Page 2 <br />Mr. Winiecki said that he and his nei hbor do not want these rain ardens. He then said that <br />g g <br />Barb Haake does not want storm water into the streams and lakes and so the proposal is to dump <br />it into people's yards instead. <br />Mr. Winiecki said that there will be no rain garden in his yard or Harvey's yard. <br />6. SPECIAL ORDER OF BUSINESS <br />None. <br />7. COUNCIL BUSINESS <br />A. A Public Hearing to Consider the Second Reading and Adoption of <br />Ordinance 810, an Ordinance Amending Chapter 8 (Public Improvements <br />and Special Assessments), and Chapter 12 (Miscellaneous and Transitory <br />Provisions) of the Mounds View City Charter. <br />Acting Mayor Stigney opened the public hearing at 7:10 p.m. He also noted that a vote would <br />not be taken as there was not a full Council present. <br />Clerk Administrator Ericson reviewed the proposed Ordinance amendment for Council. <br />Acting Mayor Stigney said that he would like to revise the language to indicate "certification to <br />property taxes" to clarify. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Flaherty. To Continue the Public Hearing to July 28, 2008. <br />Ayes - 4 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />B. Resolution 7285, Approving the Purchase of Playground Equipment and <br />Soccer Goals <br />This item was heard after Item D as the person presenting, Mr. Steve Dazenski, was running <br />late. <br />Clerk Administrator Ericson provided information on the recommended purchase of playground <br />equipment and soccer goals. <br />Council Member Mueller asked whether all of the existing equipment would be removed and <br />installed by the 50~' anniversary celebration. <br />Clerk Administrator Ericson indicated that the equipment would be removed and installed before <br />the 50~' anniversary celebration. <br />
