STEPHEN STREET <br />BETWEEN BRONSON DRIVE AND T.II. 10 <br />Review of the possible alternate drainage solutions presented to <br />the City Council by staff on May 2, 1983 concludes that the option <br />of installing approximately 250 feet of 12 inch reinforced concrete <br />pipe and approximately 150 feet of open ditch to the existing wet- <br />land westerly of St. Stephen Street. (See attached sketch.) The <br />pipe and ditch would be installed in an existing 15 foot wide <br />easement but will require temporary construction easements to com- <br />please the work. The estimated project cost is as follows: <br />1) Probable Construction Cost $6,550.00 <br />2) 10 Percent Contingencies 650.00 <br />3) 15 Percent Associated Project 1,100.00 <br />Costs <br />TOTAL $8,300.00 <br />^ As of December 31, 1982, the S.W.M. Fund had a balance of approxi- <br />mately $123,000.00 of which $5,000.00 was encumbered by previous <br />action. Therefore, staff recommends S.W.M. funds be used for this <br />project. <br />If the City Council wishes to proceed with this project then the <br />following items will be necessary: <br />1) Wetland alteration permit per 48.06(G) or a determina- <br />tion per 48.07(B) that work is classed as "repair". <br />2) Direct staff to obtain necessary construction easeme,iu. <br />3) Direct staff to prepare plans and specifications for , <br />obtaining bids. <br />4) Authorize staff to obtain a legal land survey as to <br />the exact location of the existing 15 foot easement. <br />Drainage area data: <br />1) Total drainage area 5.35 acres <br />2) Peak Discharge, 5-year storm 3.46 CFS <br />3) Peak Discharge, 2-year storm 2.8 CFS <br />I 4) 12 inch RCP capacity @ slope 0.6% 2.7 CFS <br />JCJ/bc <br />
