Mounds View City Council April 11, 1983 <br />Regular Meeting Page Five ------------------------- <br />met with the school district staff regarding a joint <br />powers agreement for a half time aquatics director, <br />and that while they had been very receptive, they <br />could be reopening Johanna Middle School, and will <br />not make any decisions until after their April 18 <br />meeting concerning Johanna. He also reported <br />the senior citizen swimming and water babies <br />programs are going very well. <br />Mayor McCarty reported he has had inquiries from <br />residents with complaints about neighboring wood <br />piles, such as having a rat problem, and asked that <br />the forester give a recommendation to the Council <br />on how to handle it. Park Director Anderson <br />replied that it could be a CSO issue, but he will <br />be happy to look into it. He also informed the <br />Council that Mounds View had been awarded Tree USA, <br />and will be recognized by the Governor's office on <br />April 29, and he will give them more information <br />as he receives it. <br />Park Director Anderson reminded everyone of the <br />City wide tree planting to be held on April 23 <br />at Silverview Park. <br />Director Johnson summarized the intent of proposed 11, 1st Readi <br />Ordinance No. 336 and reviewed his memo of April Ord. No. <br />7 to the Council. Amending C41 <br />48 of the <br />Motion/Second: Doty/Linke to approve the first Municipal Cod <br />reading of Ordinance No. 336, amending Chapter Entitled, <br />48 of the Munici al Code entitled "Wetlands "Wetlands <br />Zoning Ordinance' and waive the reading. Zoning Ordn." <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carrie <br />Finance Director Brager reported Prudential. will <br />12. Consideration <br />of Memo from <br />not be renewing coverage of group life insurance. <br />He reviewed the two proposals received and the <br />Finance Direc <br />amount the City would be contributing for both <br />Regarding <br />Employees <br />family and single coverage. <br />Group Insurar <br />Motion/Second: Doty/Hankner to approve the <br />Coverage <br />recommendation of Finance Director Brager and <br />purchase insurance from United States Fidelity <br />& Guarantee for $10,000 group life insurance <br />coverage per employee, at a cost of $2.90 per <br />month per employee. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Motion Carl <br />Director Johnson reviewed Development Agreement <br />13.
