Anderson, Dir o <br />Parks, Recreation A s y <br />DATE: August 19, 1982 <br />RE: 1982 Part-time seasonal help <br />It has called to my attention that the City Council has not fonlally <br />adopted a number of our part-time seasonal positions for the sunnier <br />of 1982. As stated, a number these part-time seasonal positions are <br />either in the process of completing their position or have completed <br />their time of duty, but staff feels that it will clarify any misunder- <br />standings regarding part-time salaries for the auditor as well as <br />Finance/Bookkeeping Department. <br />_ We do have signed contracts for the majority of the part-time staff <br />which were approved by the Director of Parks and Recreation as well as <br />the Program Supervisor and signed by the individual participant. As <br />we hire approximately 225 part-time people, staff would request further <br />directions as to how the council would like to see us handle part-time <br />emplqyees on future issues so that no problems arise. The attached <br />resolution outlines each of the positions and the budget fund they <br />have been budgeted for and their length of tern. It should be noted <br />that all the positions have been budgeted for and it appears that we <br />will have a budget surplus for 1982 for part-time personnel services <br />costs. <br />Should you have any questions regarding the enclosed personnel, their rates, <br />fund accounts or whatever, staff will be available at Monday evenings <br />meeting to discuss the issue. <br />BKA/sll <br />Enc. <br />
