Mounds View City Council August 23, 198: <br />Regular Meeting Page Three <br />-------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />Director Johnson explained the City has not con- <br />ducted any tests during the past 20-30 days, other <br />than standard tests on the drinking water, which was <br />acceptable. Ile stated that Mounds View has been producing an <br />extraordinarily high amount of water this past summer, <br />which makes the water problem more noticeable and <br />wide -spread. He added that they hope to have an <br />answer within 30-60 days. <br />Councilmember Forslund asked if Ms. Weigand would <br />like the samples analyzed that she presented to the <br />Council. Ms. Weigand replied that she would, and <br />she also stated she would be glad to answer questions <br />and provide additional samples to whoever works on <br />the problem. <br />Mayor McCarty asked if the City could agree that the <br />tests run by the State are reliable for health <br />standards. Director Johnson replied they could. <br />He added that since it was a very busy time of the <br />year, it might take longer than usual to have the <br />samples analyzed. <br />The Council discussed Item B and determined the 7. Approval of <br />correct amoung of payment was $48,224.91. Consent Agenda <br />Mayor McCarty asked that Item G be removed for <br />discussion. <br />Motion/Second: Hodges/Doty to approve the consent <br />agenda, minus Item G, and waive the reading of the <br />resolutions. <br />4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Mayor McCarty stated that there seemed to be some <br />continui«g confusion over Item G, that while the <br />salary was correct, he was opposed to changing the <br />grade level and wanted it to be a Level XI. <br />Moticn/Second: McCarty/Doty to amend Resolution <br />No. 1481 to set the level of responsibility as a <br />Level XI. <br />4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Motion/Second: McCarty/Doty to adopt Resolution <br />go—. an7waive the reading. <br />4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />This presentation was made earlier in the meeting, 8.
