NORTHWEST SUBURBAN YOUTH SERVICE BUREAU STAFF SUMMARY <br />CHRISTOPHER C. CLAUSON - Executive Director <br />fLyis started with the Bureau in July, 1976. He has a Master of Social Work (MSW) Degree <br />I n the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor), and is a member of the Academy of Certified <br />aial Workers (ACSW). Chris has over 15 years experience as a Program Manager and <br />Administrator; has been an instructor and Project Coordinator at the University of Minnesota <br />Center for Youth Development Research; was a Volunteer Program Coordinator, Institutional <br />Caseworker, Probation Officer; currently serves as Field Instructor for the University of <br />Minnesota School of Social Work; and is a member of the Wilder Child Guidance Clinic <br />Advisory Board. <br />FRANCES J. RYAN - Secretary/Officer Manager <br />Fran started with the Bureau in July of 1980. After graduation from Washington High School, <br />she enlisted in the U.S. Navy for three years, serving in the Medical Corps. She has <br />attended various courses offered at Globe Business College, U of M, and extension classes <br />at Alexander Ramsey High School. Fran has over twelve years of office experience, and <br />before joining the Youth Service Bureau, worked as an Administrative Secretary for a large <br />trucking firm. <br />KAY Z. BISCHOFF - Youth/Family Counselor <br />Kay started with the Bureau in September, 1976. She has a Master of Divinity Degree from <br />McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago, with emphasis on counseling, and a B.A. Degree <br />in Social Work from Macalaster College in St. Paul. She has served in a number of different <br />counseling roles over the past thirteen years including four years as Director and Counselor <br />at the Counseling Center of Southern Minnesota in Lakeville, Minnesota. Kay currently is <br />'tified by the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAHFT). <br />,...nN G. SULLIVAN - Youth/Family Counselor <br />John started with the Bureau in August, 1976. He has a B.A. Degree from the College of <br />St. Thomas in St. Paul, and completed his Master of Social Work (MSW) Degree at the University <br />of Minnesota. John has received additional training in counseling from various resources <br />including the Johnson Institute, Family Therapy Institute, and the Wilder Child Guidance <br />Clinic. He has had eight years of youth and family counseling experience including prior <br />positions at the Bridge for Runaway Youth in Minneapolis, the Urban Coalition of Minneapolis, <br />and two years experience as a Church Youth Worker in the St. Paul Midway area. <br />JEANNE A. THOMPS04 - Youth Employment Program Coordinator <br />Jeanne started with the Bureau in April, 1978, She is a graduate of Alexander Ramsey High <br />School and is currently enrolled in the Liberal Arts Program at Lakewood Community College. <br />Prior to joining our staff, Jeanne worked as an Assistant Head Cashier for the Target Store <br />in Roseville, and as a public relations person for a musical show group. She is the person <br />who is primarily responsible for establishing the Bureau's Youth Employment Program. <br />SAM ALBERT, Ph.D. - Licensed Consulting Psychologist (ASSOCIATE STAFF MEMBER) <br />Sam received his Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology in 1978 from the University of <br />Arizona. In addition to serving as a consultant to the NW Suburban Youth Service Bureau, he <br />maintains a part-time therapy practice and is a consultant to the Anoka County Corrections <br />Department, Anoka County Sheriff's Department, Alpha Human Services, Family Renewal Center, <br />Home of the Good Shepherd. Sam has worked in several settings, including juvenile <br />sectional institutions, psychiatric hospitals, a mental health center, and a home for the <br />mentally retarded. His areas of specialty and interest include adolescent behavioral <br />problems, psychological testing, family sexual abuse, anti -social behavior, and sexual <br />aggressiveness.
