CHAPTER 107 <br />BINGO, RAFFLES, AND GAMBLING DEVICES <br />107.01 Provisions of State Law Ado ted. In addition the regulations <br />of this chapter shall apply to the conduct ot bingo and rattles an <br />the use of such gambling devices within the City. <br />1e77el 107.02 Permit Required. The game of "bingo", raffles, <br />and the use of gambling devices, as hereinafter defined, is hereby <br />declared illegal unless the permit hereinafter provided for is first <br />obtained and all requirements hereinafter specified are fully <br />complied with. <br />107702 107.03 Definitions. Per-the-pnrpeses-e€-this-ehapter <br />the-game-ubingeu-is-defined-as The following words and terms wherever <br />they occur in this chapter shall be defined as follows: <br />(1) Bingo - a popular modern variation of "Keno" or "Lotto", <br />where each player has a card or board containing five horizontal <br />rows all but the central one containing five figures, the <br />central row having four figures with the word "free" marked in <br />the center thereof; any combination of five in a row whether <br />horizontal, vertical or otherwise when completed by a player <br />constitutes "bingo", and the central row either horizontal, <br />vertical, or otherwise constitutes "bingo" when its four <br />numbers are announced and covered. A wheel or other mechanical <br />device may be used by any person conducting the game of "bingo", <br />and any such person may award either money or merchandise to any <br />player or players first completing any combination entitling <br />such player or players to call "bingo". <br />(2) Gambling Devices - Those gambling devices known as <br />wheels, tigboards, pull -tabs (or ticket jars) or appara <br />in conducting raffles. <br />(3) Paddle.,;ieel - A wheel marked off into sections con <br />one or more numbers and which, after being turned or sp <br />uses a Pointer or marker to indicate winning cnances. <br />
