MEMO TO: Mayor and City Counc' <br />' ^ FROM: Clerk-Administrato <br />DATE: November 9, 1982 <br />SUBJECT: TAX FORFEITED LAND <br />Attached please find a letter from the Ramsey County Land Commissioner <br />indicating that the south one half of Lot 8, Block 1 of the Greenfield <br />Addition has gone tax forfeit and that said land may be claimed by <br />the City of Mounds View for public purposes, or if the City desires <br />to resell such property it may do so upon payment of the appraised <br />value of that property to Ramsey County. <br />Also attached for your information is a map indicating the location <br />of this property. It would appear that this property would serve no <br />useful purpose for the City of Mounds View and that the expense related <br />to our purchasing the land from Ramsey County for resale would be more <br />than what we might potentially receive from its resale. Staff would <br />recommend that the City advise the Land Commissioner that we are not <br />interested in claiming this property. <br />DFP/pf <br />Attachments <br />
