He <br />stated he will be investigating further, and wanted <br />to alert the Council that repairs could be very <br />expensive and may have to be done on an emergency <br />basis. He added he would keep the Council posted. <br />Attorney Meyers had no report. 14. Report of <br />Attorney <br />Councilmember Forslund had no report. 15. Reports of <br />Councilmembers <br />Councilmember Blanchard had no report. <br />Councilmember Doty reported the National Guard <br />has tried to rescue the digger that is sinking on <br />County Road I but were not successful. <br />Councilmember Hodges reported he had attended <br />the Youth Services Bureau meeting, and that <br />Arden Hills has joined the group. He reported <br />they are working for United Way funding. He <br />added he has reports on the cases handled by <br />the Bureau for anyone who would like to review <br />them. <br />Mayor McCarty requested a memo explaining the <br />duties of the liason to the Youth Service <br />Bureau, for discussion at the next agenda session. <br />Mayor McCarty reported there will be a public hearing <br />November 4 of the Physical Development Committee <br />to discuss the subject of the proposed amendment <br />to the sanitary sewer system in New Brighton and <br />Mendota Heights. <br />Mayor McCarty reported he had attended the suburban <br />rate authority hearing, where he recommended that <br />all member Cities separate their MWCC charges from <br />their City charges, which was received very well. <br />Mayor McCarty questioned why the water is still <br />cloudy in oarfa of the Giro after the flushing <br />has been done. Director Johnson reported they <br />can check on the volume of water being pumped, <br />but it is felt they overworked the system during <br />the summer, and will have to perform extensive <br />maintenance on ;hu wells this fall. He added <br />they hope to locate the problems and take care <br />of them by spring.
