39.01 <br />ilS}(16) "Temporary Ground Sign" means a sign which <br />rests upon the ground, which is of either "A" frame or "T" <br />construction constructed of metal or other noncombustible <br />materials, and so designed as to be readily movable. No such <br />sign shall exceed 12 square feet in area on each side. <br />39.02 Building Permits Required. It is unlawful to <br />install, construct, erect, alter, revise, reconstruct or re- <br />locate any outdoor sign or structure, as defined in 39.01, <br />in the Municipality without first obtaining a permit therefore <br />as required by this chapter except as provided in 39.03 of this <br />chapter. <br />39.03 Exce ti�ons. Permits need not be obtained (but the <br />other provisions of this section shall be observed) for the <br />following types of signs: <br />(1) A sign not exceeding ten square feet in area, per- <br />taining only to the sale, rental or lease of the premises upon <br />which displayed. <br />(2) A sign on residential property stating only the name <br />of the occupant, which sign shall not exceed two (2) square <br />feet in area. <br />(3) A sign on property on which a public, charitable or <br />religious institution is located, stating the name and nature <br />of the occupancy and information as to the conditions of use <br />or occupancy, or a sign on such property used by the institu- <br />tion as a bulletin board, which sign shall not exceed 10 square <br />feet in area. <br />(4) A wall sign advertising the business located in the <br />building upon which displayed, where such sign is erected by <br />the owner or proprieter of the business located therein. <br />(5) An electioneering sign as provided for in Chapter <br />39.20, Subdivision 22, Electioneering Signs.
