jtr,q-y) (� <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1523 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE CITY OF FRTDI.EY ON THE SiTTNG 01.1 <br />HAZARDOUS WASTE PROCESSING FACILITIES IN SHOREVIEW <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Waste Management Board hall idontlflod <br />two sites in the City of Fridley as preliminary areas for proeenninq <br />facilities; and <br />WHEREAS, the Fridley Site A abutts the City of Mounds Viow'a <br />westerly border on Pleasant View Drive from County Road II-2 to <br />County Road H; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View has evaluated tho site aH <br />it relates to its conformance with the Waste Management Board's <br />"Factors For Selection Of Metro Proposed Areas" and finds that that: <br />part of the site lying east of University Avenue does not conform <br />with four of the eight factors; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Fridley has taken a position opposing <br />the siting of a hazardous waste processing facility in Fridley by <br />adopting Resolution No. 100-1982 on November 15, 1982. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Mounds View that the City of Mounds View supports the City of <br />Fridley's position of opposition to the siting of a hazardous waste <br />processing facility in the City of Fridley. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Wasto Management Hoard Is <br />encouraged to promote the use of existing hazardous waste processing <br />plants and sites as a means of lessoning the potential hazards to <br />the general public. <br />Adopted this 13th day of December, 1902. <br />ATTEST: <br />Mayor <br />(SEAL) <br />cl-6rk=AT5175CHirator <br />
