MEMO TO: <br />FROM: <br />DATE: <br />SUBJECT: <br />Mayor and City Council �j� <br />Clerk-Administrato��J�'/ <br />December 7, 1982 <br />APPLICATION FOR GAMBLING DEVICE PERMIT <br />4W_1y <br />Attached please find an application from the Mounds View -Shoreview <br />Lions Clubs for a permit to conduct a Casino Night at the Bel -Rae <br />Ballroom on January 5, 1983 in conformance with the requirements <br />of Chapter 107 of the Municipal Code as amended. <br />The application has been reviewed and discussed with Police Chief <br />Grabowski and he has advised that the City has experienced no <br />difficulties with these types of arrangements in the past, as these <br />organizations police themselves quite effectively, and would submit <br />a positive recommendation regarding the approval of the permit <br />application. <br />Staff would request Council direction in this matter. <br />DFP/pf <br />Attachment <br />
