�AgZ // <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1556 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING LETTER OF RETIREMENT FROM <br />POLICE CHIEF GRABOWSKI AND NOTIFYING CIVIL <br />SERVICE COMMISSION OF VACANCY <br />WHEREAS, Police Chief Ernest Grabowski has advised the <br />Mayor and City Council that he will be retiring from employment <br />with the City of Mounds View after 25 years of service effective <br />March 31, 1983; and <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 30.05 of the Mounds View Municipal Code <br />gives the Mounds View Police Civil Service Commission control over <br />the employment of all members of the Police Department. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the <br />City of Mounds View that the letter of retirement from Police Chief <br />Grabowski is accepted with sincere regrets and heartfelt apprecia- <br />tion for 25 years of service as the Mounds View Police Chief. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Clerk -Administrator Pauley <br />is directed to notify the Mounds View Police Civil Service Commission <br />of the vacancy in the position of Mounds View Police Chief effective <br />April 1, 1983 and advise the Civil Service Commission that it is <br />the desire of the Mounds View City Council to have input into the <br />process of selecting a replacement for this position. <br />Adopted this 24th day of January, 1983. <br />440*90 <br />(SEAL) <br />Mayor <br />Clerk -Administrator <br />
