He stated the Civil Service <br />Commission will select three candidates for the City>" <br />1 <br />Council to choose from, and reviewed the guidelines <br />that are to be followed. <br />There was considerable discussion among the Council <br />regarding the procedure to be followed, and reword- <br />C= <br />ing of proposed Resolution No. 1556, and any <br />direction that should be given to the Civil Service <br />Commission. Many amendments were suggested for <br />Resolution No. 1556, and the Council called a 5 <br />minute break to check proper procedure in Roberts" <br />Rules. <br />Motion/Second: McCarty/Doty to change the last para- <br />graph o1Resolution No. 1556, to read "and advise the <br />Civil Service Commission to proceed under all applica- <br />ble State statutes and municipal codes to fill the <br />vacancy created with Chief Grabowski's resignation." <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />c <br />
