CI <br />4 <br />ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR <br />POTASSIUM PERMANGANATE FEED EQUIPMENT <br />ADDITION TO WATER TREATMENT PLANTS NO. 2 AND 3 <br />TKDA proposes to provide the following engineering services for the design, <br />specification and construction of potassium permanganate feed equipment to <br />reduce the manganese concentrations at Water Treatment Plants No. 2 and 3. <br />The tasks are segregated into two phases; Phase I Is for design, <br />specification and post construction services, Phase II is for construction <br />Inspection services. <br />Phase I <br />1. Prepare engineering specifications for potassium permanganate feed <br />system equipment and appurtenances. <br />2. Prepare detailed design drawings. <br />3. Provide assistance in obtaining bids, prepare bid tabulation, evaluate <br />bids, and recommend awarding of contracts. <br />4. Prepare operation and maintenance manual for chemical handling, <br />potassium permanganate feed equipment and filter operations. <br />5. Provide start-up services. <br />Phase II <br />1. Review and approve shop drawings, operating and maintenance <br />Instructions, schedules, guarantees, bonds and certificates of <br />Inspection as required. <br />2. Provide Inspection to determine that work is completed in accordance <br />with the plans and specifications. Inspection will consist of two (2) <br />site visits; one during construction, and a second after completion to <br />finalize and approve construction. <br />3. Provide City with record drawings, shop drawing and equipment <br />operations and maintenance manuals. <br />A-1 <br />
